In a transaction completed on 20th February 2025,  Hydraflex Group acquired 100% of the equity from Rockpool Investments and the management team, returning Hydralectric to its roots of family ownership.

Since it’s formation in 1989 Hydraflex has grown into a multi million pound business serving a wide range of industries in the UK and overseas.

“This transaction represents an exciting new chapter for Hydraflex. We are expanding our manufacturing and distribution capabilities into Europe through wholly owned subsidiaries, including EKI in Slovenia, which manufactures high-performance solenoid valves, and Compralec in France, which specialises in solenoid valves, pumps, and hoses.

We are also pleased to announce that key operational directors and management will remain with the company, ensuring all usual contacts, telephone numbers, and facilities remain in place with a business-as-usual focus to support our customers seamlessly. Hydralectric’s philosophy of partners, not clients, will continue, backed by years of technical expertise and a reputation for quality.

We would like to thank the existing Managing Director Ralph Taylor and Chairman Andrew Bristow for their support throughout the transaction. Both will retire to pursue other opportunities and be replaced by Jay MacBain as Group Managing Director, and Duncan MacBain as Group CEO.

The acquisition is transformational for the Hydraflex Group. Based on the last twelve months, trading will immediately boost total group revenue to £25 million, EBITDA to £5 million, and total staff to 160, spread over 10 European manufacturing and distribution sites, strategically serving our customer base.
