REACH is a European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EU Regulation No. 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of chemical substances.
Hydralectric Ltd supports the aim of REACH in improving the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances; we meet all applicable REACH requirements and are committed to providing our customers with information about substances in our products as required.
Under REACH, the registration provision is applicable to manufacturers or importers of chemicals and does not apply to Hydralectric Ltd manufacturing operations. As referred to in the REACH regulations Hydralectric Ltd is classed as a downstream user who’s products are defined with REACH as an “Article” so it is anticipated that substances used in our products will be registered and declared by the raw material and “Article” manufacturers within the supply chain.
To ensure compliance, Hydralectric Ltd continually reviews information from its suppliers about delivered material and products concerning substances which are contained on the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). Based on the information supplied to us.
