Pilot Operated Solenoid Valves
Pilot Operated Solenoid Valves, also known as Hung Diaphragm, Assisted Lift, or pressure assisted. Pilot Operated Solenoid Valves have two chambers separated by a diaphragm, when the valve is in closed position, water pressure acts on the upper side of the diaphragm and keeps the valve closed. When the coil is energised the armature moves away from pilot hole thereby allowing the pressure between upper and lower chambers to equalise and allow water to pass through the main orifice.
Hydralectric’s range of pilot operated valves is extensive with single, double and triple valves supported by single standard plumbing inlet connection. The compact construction using technical polymers to provide safe conveyance, distribution and control of water services with pressures of 0.2 – 10 bar and water temperatures up to 85C.
The range can be supplied with standard AC and DC voltages and a range of flow regulators without any change to solenoid valve external features. The robust construction ensures a long service life up to 50,000 operations subject to water quality and temperatures.
Hydralectric pilot operated solenoid valves are approved to EU standards for electrical and safety standards applicable, plus potable water standards including WRAS (UK), ACS (France) and NSF (USA).
Pilot operated valves are recommended for hot & cold drinks dispensing, domestic showers, commercial laundry and icemakers.
