Personnel Development & Training Policy
Hydralectric recognise that employee retention, development and training are essential to producing high quality products to ensure we remain the preferred supplier to our diverse client base.
Wherever possible, Hydralectric promote from the existing employee base. To support this objective Hydralectric have a JCA (Job Clarification and Appraisal) system to ensure each employee has a regular formal review of their job, skills, capabilities, training and development needs.
Hydralectric is committed to staff personal development at all levels; for example, since 2007 more than 27 staff have completed a level 2 or 3 NVQ in the following areas:
- Manufacturing Operations
- Distribution Storage and Warehousing Operations
- Team Leading
- Management
Further, in October 2009 24 members of staff from Directors to Manufacturing Trainees started their own BIT (Business Improvement Techniques) NVQ; the second phase will start in January 2010.
Hydralectric also supports employees who are pursuing tertiary qualifications and others who continue their own professional development.
