Operations Manager
Paul Beere Joined Hydralectric in December 2010 as our first Operations Manager and assumed full responsibility for assembly and manufacturing operations on 1st February.
Despite the recession Hydralectric continues to achieve high volume sales of quality and industry leading high and low pressure hoses together with a wide range of solenoid valves. Recent organisational changes reflect the increasing importance of product design and development whilst maintaining high product quality standards. Paul’s appointment to fill the new job of Operations Manager is also an important appointment for Hydralectric to achieve high standards and corporate goals.
Paul has more than 20 year’s production and management experience gained across different industry sectors and is used to high volume manufacturing, (Hydralectric regularly produce in excess of 150,000 hoses a month). He has tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering and is also a qualified ISO9001 Internal and External Auditor. Paul has in-depth experience of quality management systems; something Hydralectric considers important for the person running manufacturing operations and he fully understands how important Lean Manufacturing is to our company. As a result of his manufacturing experience he has become a proficient user of quality tools that include FMEA, SPC, Poka Yoke, 5S etc.
Outside his mainstream work activities Paul has been a school governor for more than 12 years and an event co-ordinator for an international charity. Something he chooses to keep quiet is that he sings with a rock band – a talent that he’ll be able to demonstrate many times at future Hydralectric social events.
