Jonathan Jones
Development Engineer
Hydralectric understands the development of new products that complement and enhance our product range is essential element if we are to achieve mid and long term corporate goals. Mike Quinn our Development and Quality Director has more than twenty years experience of working at Hydralectric but in early 2011 we realised that we needed to increase his team.
Jonathan Jones graduated from the University of Surrey with an honours degree in mechanical engineering. He joined Hydralectric on 4th April having held a similar position for company based in Hampshire. Jonathan also spent 16 months as an intern working on vehicle test track design for a company in Barcelona.
Although Hydralectric produces relatively simply products as a development engineer Jonathan needs to get a thorough understanding of our business and the initial phase of his employment will be spent working in various parts of the business.
In addition to his academic attainments Jonathan is fluent in English, Spanish and French, he’s keen sportsman who includes skiing, badminton and squash amongst his sporting activities and in his spare time Jonathan also plays the saxophone with several local bands.
Jonathan is the first person to fill the position of Development Engineer at Hydralectric and works alongside Andrew Jenner who is our Design and Product Engineer and Ben Smith who has responsibilities for Quality Assurance.
